Position Summary:
As a Finance Officer at Basotho Mall, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the financial aspects of our online retail operations. Your role is crucial in maintaining financial stability and supporting the company’s growth and profitability. Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Dext, and Hubdoc is beneficial. Candidates with qualifications such as CAT (diploma in accounting), GA (advanced diploma in accounting) or CA(no experience), CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting, CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting, or a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Diploma in Management, and an Associate Degree in Business Management are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate and maintain accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budget vs. actual analyses.
- Provide regular, insightful financial updates to the management team.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Identify opportunities to control costs and enhance revenue.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of customer payments.
- Financial Records Management:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and transaction documentation.
- Implement and adhere to effective financial record-keeping procedures.
- Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including timely submission of tax returns and payments.
- Stay updated on tax law changes that may impact the business.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
- Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow to meet the company’s operational needs, optimizing working capital and liquidity.
- Evaluate cash requirements for inventory, payroll, and other expenses.
- Audit Support:
- Prepare and provide documentation for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
Qualifications and Skills:
- No work experience is required, but it would be beneficial if you have work related experience
- Knowledge of financial regulations, tax codes, and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Xero, Dext, Hubdoc, and Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:
- 8 Hours Daily.
