Job Title: General Manager Job Vacancy Basotho Mall, Maseru Lesotho.

Position Summary:
As the General Manager of Basotho Mall, you will have a comprehensive role overseeing all company operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and growth. This position requires a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in managing people, and preference will be given to those with a Qualified ACCA Chartered Accountant ,an MBA or CIMA.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the company’s growth and profitability.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the team and ensure the alignment of operations with company goals.
  1. Operational Oversight:
  • Manage and coordinate all operational functions, including finance, marketing, human resources, and production.
  • Continuously assess operational efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Oversee the company’s financial health, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
  • Ensure financial goals are met, and profitability is maintained.
  1. Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a team of department heads, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the team.
  1. Customer and Stakeholder Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and Employees.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  1. Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure the company operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Identify and manage potential risks to protect the company’s interests.
  1. Market Analysis and Expansion:
  • Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and diversification.
  1. Reporting and Communication:
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the board of directors or company owners.
  • Communicate company performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a management role, overseeing people and operations.
  • An ACCA Chartered Accountant qualification or an MBA is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Financial acumen and proficiency in financial management.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth and profitability.
